Dental clinics face a specific branding challenge. The service itself is one many people approach with anxiety, which means the brand must work harder than most to communicate safety, warmth, and trust from the very first impression. For Žavi Šypsena, a clinic whose name translates directly as “Charming Smile,” the brand had a clear emotional brief: create an identity that lives up to that name.
This project was delivered in collaboration with Project Manager Gintarė Diminskienė, whose involvement in the strategic and organisational direction of the project ensured the creative work was grounded in a clear understanding of the clinic’s objectives and audience from the outset.
The strategic direction centred on 4 qualities: modern, trusted, playful, and positive. These were not simply aesthetic goals but functional ones. A dental clinic brand that feels playful and warm reduces the psychological distance between the clinic and the patient, making the brand itself part of the experience of care.
The logo is centrally aligned and built around a modern typeface with rounded letter corners, a deliberate choice that softens the mark and introduces a gentle playfulness without compromising legibility or professionalism. Below the clinic name sits a minimalist smile, clean and immediately recognisable, which doubles as a standalone icon. The smile is not merely decorative; it is the most direct possible expression of what Žavi Šypsena promises its patients.
The colour palette anchors the identity in the clean, trustworthy associations of blue, using dark and light blue tones as the primary foundation. A soft light pink and a cool light grey provide neutral support tones, keeping the palette balanced and versatile. Bright pink serves as an accent colour, introducing a playful, energetic quality that lifts the brand and reinforces its positive character without overwhelming the overall system.
Typography was selected to extend the rounded, friendly quality of the logo into the broader communications system. The chosen communication typeface carries positivity and warmth, complementing the visual identity across all formats.
Graphic elements complete the system: solid and outline versions of the smile motif from the logo are used as decorative elements throughout brand materials. Dynamic and playful, they give the identity a distinctive visual language that is immediately recognisable as Žavi Šypsena and reinforces the brand’s core message at every touchpoint.
