Sea Turtle Conservation Curaçao operates at the intersection of environmental protection, community education, and scientific research. Largely volunteer-driven, the organisation carries out a wide range of activities, from beach cleaning and nesting ground maintenance to turtle rehabilitation and public education on responsible behaviour around marine wildlife. Their work addresses a genuinely urgent challenge: sea turtle populations are under increasing pressure from ocean pollution, habitat disruption, and uninformed human activity.
In 2019, STCC commissioned Marketing Orchestra to design their Annual Action and Monitoring Report, a formal document used to communicate the organisation’s activities, findings, and forward plans to stakeholders and investors. The report needed to fulfil two roles simultaneously: function as an official, credible document and remain engaging enough to hold the reader’s attention across 60 pages of detailed content.
The design approach prioritised clarity and readability above all else. A clean, structured layout was developed to give the document authority and professionalism, appropriate for an organisation presenting its work to funders and institutional partners. Colour-coded sections and highlighted boxes were used to organise information visually, making it straightforward to navigate and easy to scan. Photography was incorporated throughout to bring STCC’s fieldwork to life and add warmth to what is otherwise a dense, data-rich document.
The result was a polished, print-ready report that STCC used across its stakeholder and investor communications with confidence.
